As a Medicare Quality Improvement Organization (QIO), we are committed to partnering with you to bring about widespread, significant improvements in quality. We are currently engaging providers at all levels of performance in rapid-cycle projects for collaborative learning and action. We can offer you free knowledge and tools for improving health quality, efficiency and value. We can also help you take action on your commitment to initiatives such as the Partnership for Patients, Value Based Purchasing and The Million Hearts Campaign. Explore our site and learn more. HHS Launches the Million Hearts Initiative

Million Hearts is a national initiative to prevent 1 million heart attacks and strokes over the next five years. Heart disease and stroke are two of the leading causes of death in the United States. Million Hearts brings together communities, health systems, nonprofit organizations, federal agencies, and private-sector partners from across the country to fight heart disease and stroke. QIO Program Moves Forward with Bold Goals

In August 2011, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services gave the Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) Program an updated charter for leading change.
