Patient Safety in Nursing Homes
The issue of patient safety in West Virginia’s nursing homes has reached paramount importance. Select nursing homes will work with WVMI in a collaborative effort to improve patient safety in several key areas:
• Reduce the incidence of pressure ulcers in nursing homes
• Reduce the incidence of physical restraints in nursing homes
• Provide quality improvement technical assistance to nursing homes in need
