Pressure Ulcer Reduction in West Virginia’s Nursing Homes Despite recent improvements in pressure ulcer reduction in West Virginia’s nursing homes, pressure ulcers still occur too often. Select nursing homes have partnered with WVMI to reduce the number of pressure ulcers that occur in West Virginia.
WVMI provides technical and educational assistance to those nursing homes that agree to work on reducing pressure ulcers. Free pressure ulcer reduction tools are available to all nursing homes in West Virginia. For more information on the pressure ulcer reduction project, please contact us.
Advancing Excellence in America's Nursing Homes
On October 22, 2009, the second phase of the Advancing Excellence in America's Nursing Homes campaign was kicked off with the launch of a new Web site and the announcement of an all new set of goals. Even if you were a part of the first phase of the campaign, you will need to re-enroll to be a continuing part of this project. WVMI encourages all West Virginia nursing homes to visit the Web site and re-join the Advancing Excellence project.
