Reducing Physical Restraints in West Virginia’s Nursing Homes While many caregivers think physical restraints can help protect residents with limited mobility, restraints can in fact cause more harm than good. WVMI will partner with a select group of West Virginia nursing homes to eliminate physical restraints and to learn better ways protect residents from injury due to falls.
