Current CNE Programs *Meaningful Use of Health Care Data:  The Electronic Health Record in the Ambulatory Care and Physician Office Setting

This independent study was developed for professional clinicians practicing in the ambulatory care/physician office setting and presents a basic description of the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act, (HITECH) portion of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. The study focuses on the impact of the HITECH legislation on health care service and practice as it relates to health care informatics, the electronic health record, and collecting, documenting and reporting “meaningful data.”

Quality Insights of Pennsylvania is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the PA State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
